Our Mission:
Cass Lake-Bena High School’s Robotics Program is designed to expose students to situations and experiences that they have not had before. We strive to give students new career pathway examples, new technical and life skill sets, and give students additional reasons to stay in school and better themselves. We endorse our female and male team members to work together to build team unity and bonding. We strive to uphold FIRST values of gracious professionalism and inspire each other to be critical thinkers and problem solvers in a safe and nurturing environment.
About Us:
We are Team #3275 from Cass Lake, Minnesota. Our team is compromised of mainly male students. We started in 2010 with a coed team that had limited involvment, but as the years have gone by our numbers have grown. In fact, our numbers have grown so much that we have also made an all girls robotics team called the Accelerators. Participation is at an all-time high and still growing! We are looking forward to the 2013-2014 season!
What is FIRST and FRC?
FIRST's mission is to show students of every age that science, technology, and problem-solving are not only fun and rewarding, but are proven paths to successful careers and a bright future for us all.
The varsity Sport for the MindTM, FRC combines the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. Under strict rules, limited resources, and time limits, teams of 25 students or more are challenged to raise funds, design a team "brand," hone teamwork skills, and build and program robots to perform prescribed tasks against a field of competitors. It’s as close to "real-world engineering" as a student can get. Volunteer professional mentors lend their time and talents to guide each team.
